Launch draft · counsel review required

Terms of use.

Effective July 15, 2026. These draft terms describe the intended product contract. They are not approved legal terms and must be reviewed before public availability.

What Bearing is

Bearing is a financial reporting and arithmetic service. It organizes records you provide or connect, performs stated calculations, and presents written summaries.

Not investment, tax, or legal advice

Bearing does not recommend securities, transactions, allocations, or financial strategies. Estimates, projections, comparisons, and assumptions are informational and may not reflect taxes, volatility, liquidity, fees, or your circumstances. You are responsible for financial decisions and for consulting qualified professionals when appropriate.

Your records

You are responsible for information you enter or confirm. Linked and extracted records may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. Bearing shows source and age indicators so you can judge freshness. Review important figures against institution records.

Account security

You agree to protect access to your email account and devices and to notify the service if you suspect unauthorized access. Passwordless links and codes expire and are single-use.

Availability

Financial institutions, data providers, model providers, and networks may be unavailable. Bearing will render stale or errored states honestly, but continuous operation and perfect data cannot be guaranteed.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, probe other users’ data, evade safeguards, upload unlawful content, or use automated access that degrades the product. The service may restrict activity needed to protect users or infrastructure.

Ownership and feedback

You retain rights in your records. Product software, design, and editorial materials remain owned by their respective rights holders. Final provisions for licenses, feedback, governing law, dispute resolution, warranty disclaimers, liability limits, and contact details require counsel approval before launch.
